Membership to the New Zealand Chinese Association Southland Sub-branch Inc is open to persons who are of Chinese descent, a spouse of a Chinese person or a child of a Chinese person.

The New Zealand Chinese Association is a national organisation with over 80 years of uninterrupted history, comprising of 14 branches throughout New Zealand.
It represents the interests of both long-established and new Chinese migrant groups.
